This blog has on two occasions called on the Prime Minister to take more stringent steps to control the spread of Covid 19  caused by primarily of what we maintain is the "Cabinet or Parliamentary Cluster," because this sudden hike was caused by the Sabah State Elections and the movement of people mainly politicians and Sabahans who had returned from voting in Sabah. Full pages are often devoted to this cause, although I believe the monies  spent on these full page announcements  will do better if given to an orphanage, an old folks home or to other worthy charities to celebrate such an honour, but that s hardly the case. I personally had a friend an ex working colleague who was awarded a Datukship, he subsequently absconded to Sri Lanka and when I happened to chance upon him in Bangalore in 2004 he told me he was in Sri Lanka making Mosquito coils.  While my friend is not the only one I know of many more, who have Datukships not because of what they did but for other reasons. Why he got his Datukship baffles me,  he was not the type for community service of any kind and while I congratulated him for that feat, I was wondering onwhat merited such an honour. Senile?   After all the twists and turns in the relationship between Mahathir and Anwar Ibrahim one thing has become abundantly clear, Mahathir is fearful of Anwar Ibrahim becoming Prime Minister of Malaysia After sacking Anwar from his position in both Government and UNO Mahathir was of the opinion that time will push Anwar out of the limelight and that he'd be forgotten he assumed Anwar will eventually fade away into oblivion Time has now proved Mahathir wrong  because now 22 years after that sacking, Anwar Ibrahim has proved to be more relevant than Mahathir Mohammed, hsi son Mukhriz and many others  in Malaysian politics and looks like the best candidate available for the position of Malaysian Prime Minister today.
