"The Truth Shall Set You Free."
And don't ask me who said this, I really do not know who but this is the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
It hurts at times, it marginalises, it will subject you to ridicule, you may suffer all the same, it will do all sorts of things but it will set you free, and allow you move forward with your life with nothing to hide and, that is the truth.
In our very own backyard we have seen this happen, ministers who deny any wrong doing, who tell half truths and get hounded by the media, the blogs, papers, the talk on the street etc. whilst they go full throttle on denial mode.
We have seen an ex-menteri besar against whom a state select committee has uncovered so many incidents of wrong doing, who brazenly sits in the background without even having the courage to come out and clear all those accusations against him and his wife, and yet has the audacity to tell the government of the day how to carry on their work. he has at long last been charged, only charged.
We have seen one minister who when once confronted by a scandal came out out immediately and said that is me, he admitted his error, and that put paid all talk about that scandal. What the minister did and how the scandal affected him is not the topic of my discussion, that he is now the President of the MCA and the moral issues if any, regarding his present position is not topic of this discussion, but the fact that, that scandal has been put to rest and is no more the subject of 'juicy' discussion only goes to prove that the "Truth Shall Set You Free."
There are many areas in the Malaysian political scenario that is wrought with make belief, false accusations, twisted propaganda, false prosecutions, illegitimate projects, bribery, corruption, theft, molestations, and even murder all covered up or seemingly covered up and for which the Malaysian public has been ill informed which constitutes lies, and these very lies suppress the truth and that in turn suppress a nation, suppresses the citizens who cry for truth. It is this quest for the truth that leaves the people so restless and leads them to demand for change.
This restlessness has been growing over the years, it now echoes from Perlis to Sabah, From Kangar, to Tawau, Kuching, Miri and the entire nation, and it will not go away until the lies by which the citizens of this country are ruled disappear and citizens are able to live in peace and prosperity they deserve without having to be short changed by corrupt politicians and liars.
